# Snowflake Sharing | Delivery Hub
Source: https://deliveryhub.parametasolutions.com/tabs/our-technologies/cloud-delivery/snowflake-sharing
Snowflake makes it simple to access Parameta data across all major cloud providers and regions.
Whether you operate in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, Snowflake ensures consistent, secure, and low‑latency delivery of Parameta’s datasets — so you can access the same high‑quality data wherever your workloads run. This flexibility allows your teams to consume Parameta data natively within your chosen cloud environment, supporting global deployment, regulatory needs, and multi‑region data strategies.
There are two types of data sharing available in Snowflake. With Reader Accounts, you can access shared data even without a Snowflake account, using a secure, provider‑managed environment to view and query the data. With Direct Shares, you can access live data directly within your own Snowflake account and use your own compute to query it.
## Reader Account
A [Reader Account](https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/data-sharing-reader-create) can be provided to allow clients to access Parameta Solution's Commercial Package offering. Access to this will be managed via your sales representative, and you will be provided a URL and login credentials.
## Benefits of Reader Accounts
> **No Infrastructure**
>
> No need to maintain your own Snowflake account or infrastructure.
> **Immediate Access**
>
> Start querying data immediately after receiving credentials.
> **Managed by Parameta**
>
> Account management and maintenance handled by Parameta.
> **Cost Effective**
>
> Ideal for trials and smaller data requirements.
> [!NOTE]
>
> For clients requiring more control or integration with existing Snowflake infrastructure, consider a [Direct Share](/tabs/our-technologies/cloud-delivery/snowflake-sharing#direct-shares) instead.
## Direct Shares
For Snowflake customers, [Direct shares](https://docs.snowflake.com/user-guide/data-exchange-using#label-snowsight-private-sharing-shared-with-me) enable sharing of live database objects with another Snowflake account without copying data, and the consumer pays for their own compute.
## Benefits of Direct Share
> **Your Infrastructure**
>
> Data lives in your existing Snowflake account with your security policies.
> **Real-time Updates**
>
> Data is always current — no ETL or sync processes required.
> **No Data Movement**
>
> Data is shared in place, not copied, reducing storage costs.
> **Full Control**
>
> Apply your own access controls, roles, and governance policies.
## Direct Share Setup
To share data with your Snowflake account, we require your Snowflake account identifier. You can locate this in Snowsight by following these steps:
1. Select your account name in the bottom-left corner of Snowsight.
2. In the **Account** section of the menu, select your account.
3. Click **View Account Details**.
4. Send us one of the following account identifiers:
* **Standard account identifier:** `orgname-accountname`
* **Data sharing account identifier:** `orgname.accountname`
> [!NOTE]
>
> Your Snowflake account identifier is required before Parameta can provision a Direct Share or Marketplace private offer to your Snowflake environment.

> **Async API documentation** for the Websocket is available [here](/tabs/indicative-data/realtime-data/connecting-via-json-websocket).
## Marketfeed API
**Parameta Solutions** deliver data via an API that leverages Marketfeed protocol designed to deliver OTC market pricing in a reliable and auditable form to all clients. The feed is delivered as a broadcast data stream over TCP/IP connections.
It is derived from LSEG’s Marketfeed protocol utilising Reuter’s Appendix A as it’s field data library. This feed can be delivered via internet or leased line.
The feed caters for delivery of data structures in Marketfeed-format records, chains and pages. Data is categorised by **Parameta** at the “stub” level (first 5 characters of a record) in keeping with our proprietary taxonomy rules.

Source: https://deliveryhub.parametasolutions.com/tabs/our-technologies/direct-delivery/snap-files
Discover Parameta intraday snapshot data, providing scheduled market updates across asset classes. Learn about delivery options, formats, coverage, and implementation guidance.
## Export Data Formats / Frequency
If a customer opts for direct file delivery via SFTP or Cloud then the format and frequency of the snap file delivery will need to be determined at the inception of the service. Snap file export formats vary based on the type of data being exported, the intended use, and compatibility with different applications.
**Parameta** supports the main formats commonly used for data file export:
1. CSV (Comma-Separated Values)

## Parameta SFTP
**SFTP** (Secure File Transfer Protocol) services are network protocols used for securely transferring files between entities over a secure, encrypted connection. SFTP provides all of the functionality of traditional FTP (File Transfer Protocol) but with an added layer of security, using SSH (Secure Shell) to encrypt the file transfer.
To establish the SFTP Service, **Parameta** will first confirm what format the files to be delivered will be. We can export to most industry standard formats (see **Export Data Formats**) and work with each client to determine their preferred snap times, file names, if files are to be standardised or split into asset classes, and whether a push/pull connection is required etc.
### Key Features
* **Compliance:** Many organizations require SFTP services to comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS, which require secure data handling and transmission.
* **User Authentication:** Multiple methods including username/ password, key-based (SSH key) and multi-factor authentication are supported, providing flexibility and enhanced security.
* **Encryption:** All data transmitted through our SFTP service is securely encrypted using SSH, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of data files. Cipher’s/MACs and Key Exchanges can be configured to the client’s specific requirements:

* **Reliability:** Our service ensures that files are not corrupted or altered during transmission through checksums and hashing mechanisms.
* **File Management:** Users can perform file management operations (upload, download, rename, delete, and move files) securely over the SFTP connection.
* **Firewall-Friendly:** SFTP operates on a single port (e.g. Port 22), making it easy to configure and secure within firewalls on the client-side.
* **Full Access Control:** Parameta Administrators manage user permissions, ensuring that only authorised users have access to specific files or directories.
* **Logging and Auditing:** Detailed logs are maintained for each file transfer, aiding in troubleshooting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

# Documentation MCP Server | Delivery Hub
Source: https://deliveryhub.parametasolutions.com/tabs/our-technologies/our-mcp-server
Connect your AI tools to Delivery Hub documentation to discover Parameta datasets, get connection details and speed up WebSocket, Snowflake, SFTP and FIX setup.
## About the Parameta Delivery Hub MCP
The Parameta Delivery Hub MCP (Model Context Protocol) provides a unified way for clients to **discover, access, and integrate with Parameta data delivery services** using AI-powered tools.
By connecting our MCP server to your preferred AI assistant (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code), you can:
* Discover available Parameta delivery channels
* Retrieve corresponding connection and configuration details
* Generate integration examples (SQL queries, subscription messages, file formats)
* Troubleshoot connectivity or entitlement issues
The MCP connects your AI tools directly to Parameta Solutions Delivery Hub documentation, enabling **real-time, guided integration support** without manually searching documentation.
> [!TIP]
>
> Some AI tools like Claude support both MCP and skills. MCP gives access to your content, while skills instruct agents how to use that content effectively. They're complementary and connecting your MCP server gives agents access to both.

### How It Works
When connected, your AI assistant can securely query Parameta Solutions Delivery Hub documentation via a MCP server.
* The AI automatically retrieves relevant documentation when needed
* Responses are based on the latest available content
* You can ask questions in natural language
Example:
> "How do I access Parameta FX data in Snowflake?"
You do not need to manually search documentation, the MCP connection enables **context-aware, guided responses**.

## The MCP endpoint
Connect your AI tool to:
> [!NOTE]
>
> The MCP returns the same documentation you see when logged in to this site — including
> record naming conventions, field groups and FID definitions, connection guides and data
> warehouse documentation.
### Signing in
The first time your AI tool connects, it opens a browser window for you to sign in with
your usual Delivery Hub credentials. There is no API key or client secret to create or
store.
**1. Your tool requests access**
Your AI tool contacts the MCP endpoint and is told that sign-in is required.
**2. You sign in**
A browser window opens on the Delivery Hub sign-in page. Sign in as you normally
would. If you already have an active session, this step completes automatically.
**3. Your tool is authorised**
Your tool receives an access token tied to your account and its entitlements. It
refreshes automatically, so you only sign in once per tool.
> [!NOTE]
>
> Authentication methods may vary depending on the AI client you are using. Please follow
> the OAuth authentication flow supported by your chosen client, whether Kiro, Claude Code,
> Visual Studio Code, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible application.
> [!TIP]
>
> Your entitlements are applied on every request. If your access changes, the
> documentation available through the MCP changes with it — no reconfiguration needed.

### Authentication & Entitlements
The MCP server provides guidance and documentation—it does not grant data access directly.
Signing in controls which **documentation** your AI tool can read; it does not by itself
grant access to market data.
To access Parameta Solutions data, you must have:
* Active commercial agreement
* Valid credentials (API keys, Snowflake access, etc.)
* Correct entitlements for specific datasets
> [!NOTE]
>
> **Seeing less documentation than you expect?** Confirm you completed sign-in. If you
> are signed in and a page you need is still unavailable, your account may not be entitled
> to it — contact your Parameta Solutions representative.
If you are unable to access data, contact your Parameta Solutions representative.
