Parameta currently support several different API/technologies for sub-second data delivery from which the client can choose the method that best suits their needs: Wherever your real-time data infrastructure exists, Parameta’s best-in-class cloud technology, market data, and technical onboarding specialists can help craft the right delivery mechanism for you.

Connectivity

API data feeds are principally available over the internet, however if clients wish to connect to our infrastructure directly (e.g. via a leased line), then we have datacentres in several major locations across the globe including London, New York and Singapore. If the preference is to connect over dedicated lines e.g. CIPN (Critical Infrastructure Private Network) or B2B (Business-to-Business) these can be provided by working with our global network team.

WebSocket

Parameta’s WebSocket service provides an efficient, scalable solution for real-time market data streaming. Using WebSocket technology, our service establishes a persistent, connection between the client and our servers, ensuring that market data such as quotes, trades, and price updates are delivered instantly and continuously with minimal latency. WebSocket delivery is ideal for clients that require immediacy of real-time data via JSON or into standard desktop applications without interrupting their workflow. The WebSocket JSON output can be readily integrated into trading platforms, providing clients with the tools they need to monitor and respond to market movements with pace.

Marketfeed API

Parameta Solutions deliver data via an API that leverages Marketfeed protocol designed to deliver OTC market pricing in a reliable and auditable form to all clients. The feed is delivered as a broadcast data stream over TCP/IP connections. It is derived from LSEG’s Marketfeed protocol utilising Reuter’s Appendix A as it’s field data library. This feed can be delivered via internet or leased line. The feed caters for delivery of data structures in Marketfeed-format records, chains and pages. Data is categorised by Parameta at the “stub” level (first 5 characters of a record) in keeping with our proprietary taxonomy rules.

EMD Direct Connect (Enterprise Market Data Distribution)

For customers looking to take market data directly into their infrastructure, Parameta’s EMD Direct Connect service offers a seamless and scalable solution for streaming real-time data into their data network. We offer a multitude of connection options to tailor to the client’s specific technical setup, locale and data distribution requirements.

Connectivity for EMD

Parameta’s EMD Direct Connect platform resides in AWS cloud. Our services are currently available globally across EU-WEST-1, US-EAST-1, and AP-SOUTHEAST-1. As the service runs in the AWS cloud, our recommended approach is to utilise AWS PrivateLink within the same region (e.g., EU-WEST-1, see Example Configurations) for optimum setup. FIX API (5.0 SP2)

Parameta’s FIX API offering is a legacy API based on standard FIX 5.0 SP2 (Financial Information exchange protocol, www.fixtrading.org) which has been adapted to Parameta’s specific requirements. This is therefore a FIX compliant gateway that is able to perform Market Data routing to FIX Clients:
